This tool does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and using it does not create any advisory or professional relationship. It is a self-service calculator for general educational and informational purposes only. Nothing it displays should be taken as a recommendation to contribute any particular amount or to take any other action. This tool also sells nothing — it runs no ads and has no affiliate, referral, or sponsorship relationships with any brokerage, bank, advisor network, or financial company, so it earns nothing from what you decide and has no incentive to steer you toward any product or provider.
The calculator models the 2026 employee-deferral limits from IRS Notice 2025-67 ($24,500, the $8,000 age-50 catch-up, and the $11,250 "super" catch-up for ages 60–63), two-tier match formulas with an optional automatic employer percentage, per-paycheck versus true-up matching, and flat-rate compound growth. Real plans have more moving parts: eligibility waiting periods, vesting schedules (unvested match isn't yours yet), per-check dollar caps, match caps stated in dollars, mid-year formula changes, bonuses and supplemental pay (which may or may not be matched), §415(c) testing, after-tax and mega-backdoor contributions, and multiple employers in one year (the deferral limit is shared across all of them, but each employer's §415(c) cap is separate). Your plan's Summary Plan Description is the authority — especially on whether a true-up exists.
Every figure is a projection built from the inputs you provide using simplified math. Growth projections use a flat nominal return — real markets fluctuate, and future contribution limits will change. Actual results will differ. No accuracy, completeness, or outcome is promised, and the calculations may contain errors. Verify payroll-affecting changes against your plan's own tools before relying on them.
